…..I really start missing my long runs.
We are currently having one amazing summer- no doubt. And I genuinely enjoy it. Even Londoners seem to be able to slow down a little, people look healthy and tanned and are way more smiley and open.
However I notice how I do miss my long runs. Having finished my first Marathon in late May I took it easy during June and used it for crosstraining and to recover. Now I am back into training, 4 times running (as usual) and 1-2 crosstraining sessions. As I am currently training for a HM in October, there is somehow no real ‘need’ for long runs.
And I tell you what- I really, honestly miss them. There is nothing quite like a 20mile run… And I am sure you know what I am talking about.
So I have to admit, I am looking forward to some slightly cooler mornings when I, despite my trainingsplan not asking for it, can sneak out and discover endurance.
