it’s the big day, London Marathon! Or at least it is for many of us (wishing you all lots of enjoyment, although very warm and sunny at lest there is a gentle breeze).
Looking at runners competing with a 2;55 pace leaves me literally speechless.
On the other hand it does remind me on why I run: because I absolutely love it!
Running the London Marathon one day is a big dream of mine and I have been putting my name into the ballot box for many years in a row. This year it didn’t happen again, however I was lucky enough to get into the Berlin Marathon for September 28th! Already now, 6 months ahead so exited about it.
As my training for Berlin doesn’t start for another 2 months I am thinking a lot about how to spend that time… doing some shorter races in the meantime? Focusing on other sport? How do you spend your time when you are not actually training for anything? I would just like to enjoy my running to be honest.
At the same time I have been working on my diet and introduced chlorella algea drinks (e.g. 10g of algea powder, soya milk, little bit of honey, 2 kiwis and 2 apples put into a blender- green, healthy and quite tasty), highly detoxing, high in protein, alkaline and high in iron. Just to give my body a bit of a break and kind of prepare myself for the marathon training season that will take over most of my summer!
Most of all I hope though that my shins cooperate. Just had a 10days running break and got myself new shoes, but runs do remain relatively painful I have to say.
What are your next races coming up? Already eyeing on anything for 2015 (I do, London, Barcelona, Brighton, Hamburg?!??? tough choice!)
